Description
2000 Spring Aged Yunnan Imperial Puerh
Royal Pu-erh tea is an emperor grade loose leaf style of pu-erh tea from Yunnan, China, rich in tips and with a flavor in which wood prevails over mineral. The earthy character of this variety has many nuances.
Pu-erh tea (also known as aged or vintage tea) is another of China's great treasures and has only recently been discovered in the West. It is unlike any other tea in the world but Westerners can appreciate its similarities to fine wine, with which it shares many attributes.
Pu-erh’s flavor can change dramatically over the course of the aging process, resulting in a brew tasting strongly earthy but clean and smooth, reminiscent of the smell of rich garden soil or an autumn leaf pile, sometimes with roasted or sweet undertones.
