Spring Wuyi Silver Crown Rougui Oolong - Crown Eagle

 

Oolong Tea

 

Silver Crown Rougui (白雞冠肉桂岩茶) is one of the four famous bushes from Wuyi shan which are called The 4 Famous Tea Bushes.

 

When brewing this tea we use a Purple Clay teapot in order to really energize the aroma and bring out its full taste.

 

With 7g of leaves and boiling water, we rinse the tea once and then start our real steepings, with a light charcoal and roasted nuts aroma in the first 2 steep. However, in the 3 rd steeps onward, a well mix of mineral unmami, pear and honey taste. The taste reaches its peak in the 4 steeps becoming more mellow with a long-lasting aftertaste. As well as retaining its heavy fragrance, this tea is resilient through many steeps; in our experience, it retains its well mix of fruitiness and nuttiness up to 7 steeps.

 

When brewing this tea we use a Purple Clay teapot in order to really energize the aroma and bring out its full taste. With 7g of leaves and boiling water,  it gives rise of its fragrance, together with a light pear & raisin like aroma, which is unforgettable. It belongs to the low to medium roastiness.
