2022 Winter Eight Gods Baxian Dancong Oolong
Oolong Tea
Every year, only a small region in the Phoenix Mountain is dedicated for winter harvest only which makes winter dancongs a rare delicacy for many tea drinkers. This year we are lucky to try these gems.
One of the main reasons why we love winter harvest is the intoxicating high fragrance it offers. One of the main feature of Baxin dancong is it strong milky note. The fragrance of this winter Baxin just overflows from the gaiwan , the milky, floral and fruity notes are combining together and fill up the room. The tea liquid is mellow and milky. Finish with a strong and delightful bittersweet
Like other winter dancongs , it is less thicker than the spring harvest and gives a stronger bittersweetness and definitely will delight you in anoth other way.
Baxin mean Eight Gods. Since tea leaves of Baxin comes from eight different bushes , this resembles the eight gods in the traditional chinese fairt story. The trees for this tea grow along Wudong Mountain at an altitude of 900 meters where the natural environment is superior and conducive to the development of the leaves and formation of tea polyphenols and important aromatic substances.
